Love is in the Air (by Colin Lagerwall)

Love is in the Air

These are some thoughts that are burning in me, I commented the thoughts below on a post and felt I could share them as a note :

When one starts to hear Grace, it is here that the heart begins to open, and we feel renewed and awakened, because Love has appeared (the Love of our life), and we subsequently begin to live from the heart.

It is also here that we are presented with our theologies which prevent love from flourishing, from further heart growth, mindsets that oppose the integrity of what we know to be true of love, yet we have branded God, who IS love, with characteristics which just don't allow further awakening....

It is therefore of UTMOST importance that we know who He is.. (His nature) ...any doubt in the integrity of His being totally and eternally FOR me and ALL others, will cause me to close off to Him, not by "choice" but by heart-reflex........when we trust, we open up, when we see someone we really WANT to be with, nothing can stop us, we will climb the highest mountain, not because we should, but because we want to.

I think humanity as a whole is at this point now, where we have tasted and seen that the Lord IS good, but we are being confronted with conflicting thoughts from within our own theologies, our own deep set understanding/misunderstandings of the nature of God, thoughts that, instead of nurturing heart response, cause withdrawal, or confusion.

Some are sitting on the sidelines and watching the show, grimly hanging onto the precepts of the past, not daring to brave the onslaughts of the naysayers and thereby shielding themselves from the accusers hot-iron butt-branding of "heretic"

...Others are abandoning all, including their reputations of being stable pillars in the christian community, and are following their hearts and the intuitive knowing that He is much better than we have ever been led to believe.

Their hearts have tasted Love, and the heady fragrance in the air is a promise that this is the beginning, and no amount of human resistance is going to thwart this awakening that has just begun....

"This much is certain, that we have no theological right to set any sort of limits to the loving-kindness of God which has appeared in Jesus Christ. Our theological duty is to see and understand it as being still greater than we had seen before."     —      Karl Barth (The Humanity of God)
